Weekly report (16th-22nd)

“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
? Dr. Seuss, Happy Birthday to You!

This week begins with all signs pointing within.  When the MoOn begins to disappear from the sky and enters its Balsamic phase, the veils begin to thin, and our abilities to tap into deeper realms of our Being become possible.  Just before the Moon moves into Cancer, she will pass the point (28 + Gemini) where she began the Lunation cycle a month ago–sensitizing us to the seed vision we planted then (June 19th). Think back, try to remember where you were at then and how are you different now? Find the Truth in this lunar magic, then begin to dream up your intention for the upcoming lunation just a few days away.

paradox |?par??däks|

  • a situation, person, or thing that combines contradictory features or qualities:

I feel today is a couple layers deep with paradox. On one side of the Archetypal landscape, we have the sensitive and shy balsamic moON; On the other side of the field, we have rowdy Mars squaring Pluto, igniting intense desire, passion, and lusty fire further augmented by Mars trining Jupiter, arising the lofty desire to run to the top of the mountain without shoes.  Perhaps it is no paradox. Maybe there are no paradoxes and this is how the Universe functions.  As much as we desire to call into work and have a movie marathon, it is more important to kick ass at work, sweat afterwards, and end the day with a long, fine tuned practice on the mat.  Something like that.  This is how success will be attained.  Pushing ourselves beyond our limits and taking a chance.

…please, no more fires

And so it is….another Lunar cycle.  This one beginning in late Cancer.  Remember: New Moons are ideal times for making intentions in your life–for letting go and for calling in.  Today, we plant a new intentional seed in the fertile Cancer soils of the “Invisible landscape.” It is an opportunity to practice Moon Magic.

In the backdrop of this fresh start is Mars activating the other side of the “2012 aspect” (Pluto/Uranus square) by opposing Uranus in Aries.  To be understood in one phrase: We shall fight for our freedom–in love and out of love.

If you’ve been reading my Weekly Reports, you have heard me mention the fascinating correlation/syncronicity between these festivals I’ve been doing Astrology at and their affinity to Cancer/Leo/Virgo moONs (in that order).  They seem to begin with Cancer moONs and end with Virgo Moons. Cancer is where we find home (within and without), Leo is where we play and celebrate with the family/tribe, and Virgo is where we heal and gather back our energies.  Now, just because you won’t be attending Firefly in Flagstaff this weekend, the theme still relates .  Sitting with your family–Choice or Origin– celebrating with them and coming back to yourself by weekends end to heal.  It is a time of celebration.  All signs point towards play today.

As you’ve noticed, I like the mOOn.  I live by it.  Not just women are ruled by the mOOn, we all are.  The Moon sensitizes us to everything around us.  It allows us to experience life–to process it fully.  And in Astrology, whatever she touches as she moves throughout the sky, she augments our experience of that Archetype.  Today, she makes contact to Mercury–who is currently retrograde in Leo.  It could bring about some confusing moments; crossed wires, smoking machines and frustrating conversations.  The way to work through this is to realize it is all happening for a reason. We must move with it, let it point us in the right direction, and then laugh about it all.  Without a sense of humor during Mercury retrograde, we are doomed. We say “It’s all just retro….bro.”

The sliver visible of the Moon today is in Virgo.  What was true yesterday is fading fast.  We are needing to refine something relating to our intial vision.  We need to summon the skills to work on this vision and ultimately work deeper on ourselves with scalpel pointed towards our mind.  It all comes down to taking better care of ourselves.  Where are you overdoing it? How are you unconscious about certain aspects of your Being.  Why aren’t you reaching out for help? Today, is seemingly a fated day of healing.  How is it going to come to you?  Be keen in your discernment on this one.

The Sun enters Leo today, raising the awareness even more now on the theme of play, laughter, and celebration. Is it so hard to just take a break?  What keeps the serious face on your face? The Sun is shining bright from our Collective hearts, saying, “I got love for you….feel it then share it.”  There is a sweet spot of potential also available to us with the sextile between Mercury and Mars.  Mars is offering the mana (the power) to assist in reworking some of the mental knots we have around our creative potential.  The possibility of rapid progress is rich today.  Don’t be afraid to call on the Muse!

…it is said we only have so many breaths until we die, so step out of the deep fry, and realize truth of how you are truer than true.  This is you.  Don’t be afraid to die.  And more importantly: Celebrate and cry!!!
