Weekly Astrology Report: Dec 3rd–9th
“All boundaries are conventions awaiting transcendence….”
Cloud Atlas
Monday: Moon in Leo
3rd
This week starts off feeling like a caged Lion. Unable to experience the freedom we need to play, to roam, and to roar in the face of our opponents, we may find ourselves pacing back and forth, ruminating in our cyclic emotions. This is the Leo moON squaring off with both Saturn and Venus. It is ancient emotional conditioning holding us back from expressing our true hearts desire. We must remember this. What is it that is trying to leap and roll around inside. As the day progresses, we are assisted by Jupiter (via sextile), opening up channels of light showing us a better way out of Saturns dredges. The fiery MOon also harmonizes with the Sagittarius Sun, opening up a highway of energy in the center of our being, showing a Path out of this madness.

Weekly Astrology Report: Oct 8-14th
“Those who have not passed through the Inferno of their passions have truly not overcome them.”
Carl Jung
…are you afraid of being engulfed by your passions?…….
Monday: Moon in Cancer
8th
What did you dream about when you were a child? Do you even remember them? If so, how have they come true? Did you become the Superhero you had imagined? Or did you compromise for another dream? Another’s dream? Dreams can be a bit slippery in this way. LIke: How do dreams interact with 3 dimensional space? What is the point of the Dream? Today, as the mOon makes its Last Quarter square, moving into the internal and creative space of the Pilgrim, a feeling of subtle crisis around letting a character in our dream myth go. It’s time to let go of a particular contract you have made with someone–or something. With the Moon also squaring Venus and Juno, there is a feeling of a fire going out in an important area of our life. Don’t let it happen. Dream into it. Look for your answers in peculiar ways and you will find out exactly what you are meant to do.
Tuesday: moOn moves into Leo early morning
9th
As the pregnant Cancer moON moves into Leo, a feeling of creative release is upon you. Don’t get hooked by the inferior thoughts of yourself or your slowly growing abilities (moON square Saturn), instead, know deeply the authenticity of your message, and the perfection of “your best” and how you share it (mOOn square Mercury). Share like a Lion. Play like one too. I have a deep doubt about whether Lions give a flying “f***” about what another Lion thinks when it is being ridiculous in its creative meanderings. Even if in your effort of sharing your story, your poem, your song it feels null and void, push it aside, and remember: at least the elves and gnomes are applauding you from space!.
Wednesday: Moon in Leo
10th
We all make perfect mistakes. The Hierophant knows this. As he sits patiently in the Ground State, looking all stoic and slick (Saturn trine Neptune), he motions for words, yet none come. Your impatient ear perks in giddy excitement for a fresh transmission, yet still….nothing. Your awareness is pushed deeper inwards, acting the role of Pilgrim; You go deeper into your meditation, possessed by the inevitability of creative release. You know now, that all your mistakes were perfect. Saturn nods his head to Neptune, the Hierophant poofs!
Thursday: moOn moves into Virgo after lunch
11th
All throughout the sea of the Collective Imagination, a swelling wave slowly rises, soon to break on the shores of Self, spreading inspired confusion across the land. With the Moon moving into Virgo, it will naturally oppose Neptune in early PIsces, creating a trippy mirroring effect in your world. It’s a feeling like you are waking in a dream, or perhaps a dream is trying to wake you. Within the doozy of this transit, the mOOn will also square the Nodes of the moon, perhaps bringing the slight feeling of dejavu in a handful of sweet spots throughout your day. If you feel them, it means you are heading the right direction. Keep following your intuition through this temporary maze of illusion.
Friday: Moon in Virgo
12th
It all rolls into one and nothing comes for free,
There’s nothing you can hold, for very long.
And when you hear that song come crying like the wind,
It seems like all this life was just a dream.
Stella blue. stella blue.
“Stella Blue”
Grateful Dead
In the wake of the Neptunian flood of emotion yesterday, the moOn finds Venus in the sky today. Love, and love again. If there were to be a universal compass for good decision making, it would have to be Love. Love and the Heart as the device. Luna also makes a lovely trine to Pluto also today, keeping a reminder up in our heads about not forgetting about the darkness. It’s great to focus on the Light, and even better not to forget the Dark. They are dancing together–always. Don’t ignore Pluto. It’s how monsters are made.
Saturday: MoOn moves into Libra early evening
13th
No different than a plant, our bodies mimic nature. In the Fall, as light decreases North of the equator, leaves fall and energy is focused on the root of the plant. Roots–like kidneys– store energy for the organism, so the seasons can be insured for its future. Libra–the sign of both the Sun and Moon at the moment–rule over the kidneys. In this Balsamic phase of the mOon, it is vitally important to take care of your energy storage in your kidneys. Or as the Chinese call it: Jing. Kidney tapping, heating pads, back massages, inversions, drinking warm yin tonics etc etc….all a good idea. With the moON also squaring Vesta and Ceres, this kidney point is emphasized even more. Feed the agni flame, nourish the body and its tissues, and begin to rest. The last days of any lunation cycle relate to this. It feels like a dream as the veils get thinner and thinner.
Sunday: Moon in LIbra
14th
We always think that by running away to some place new, will solve all our problems, Yet, if we are wizened by our years of youthful folly, we also know these problems haunt us like angry ghosts. With Mars now in Sagittarius for over a week, I’m sure you have already tasted this urge. Today though, he squares Chiron–the wise Centaur teacher of many a great Hero. It’s as if Chiron stands mildly frustrated in a setting Sun hilltop as his stubborn student (Mars in Sag) runs away, seeking the boon of his heart, with youthful folly once again. “Silly humans….” Chiron thinks, as darkness falls.
…and through the Inferno, on the other side of the raging flame, is the Palace of Wisdom. Ever present, always waiting….for the ripe Warrior Soul to discover……..

the Eclipse: a World beyond language?
“There is a transcendental dimension beyond language… It’s just hard as hell to talk about!”
-
Terence McKenna
…weary from the journey, the illuminated traveler steps off the glass boat and enters an invisible landscape. A peculiar toad slowly hops behind. In the sky the Moon begins to Eclipse the Sun. Strange days surround him. And all he can feel is an exalted curiosity of the days ahead. He moves forward never looking back, eyes glowing with a visionary blaze: He wonders about the Nature of Language….
Annular Solar Eclipse
Eclipse Time:
May 20, 2012
4:47 PM Pacific
7:47 PM Eastern
technicalities….:::::
The Annular Eclipse of the Sun is upon us. An annular eclipse occurs when the Sun and Moon are exactly in line, but the apparent size of the Moon is smaller than that of the Sun. Hence the Sun appears as a very bright ring, or annulus, surrounding the outline of the Moon. This is the first Annular Eclipse to be seen in the US since May 1994. Here is a link to the breakdown and where it will be seen world wide (http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/OH/OH2012.html).
When it begins?

QINGDAO, CHINA - JANUARY 15: The Annular Solar Eclipse occurs on January 15, 2010 in Qingdao, Shandong Province of China. The eclipse, which first became visible in Tamil Nadu city of Kanyakumari, is predicted to be the longest of its kind for the next 1000 years. (Image credit: Getty Images via @daylife)
May 20, 2012
Eclipse begins–20:56.1 GMT
Southern limit of penumbra begins—21:42.4 GMT
Southern limit of umbra begins–22:07.4 GMT
Central Eclipse begins—22:09.0 GMT
Northern limit of umbra begins—22:10.6 GMT
Central Eclipse at local apparent noon—23:59.1
May 21, 2012
Northern limit of umbra ends—1:34.8 GMT

Southern limit of penumbra ends—2:03.1 GMT
End of Eclipse—2:49.3 GMT
Eclipses happen during New (Solar Eclipse) and Full (Lunar Eclipse) Moons. They occur because of the lunation’s proximity to the Nodes of the Moon. The hungry Dragon’s Rahu and Ketu. This Eclipse happens within 5 degrees of to South node in Gemini. South Node Eclipse’s are different than North Node Eclipses in that they relate to “release” and “completion” in contrast too the “obtaining” and “worldly manifestations” of a North Node Eclipse. I like to relate to Eclipses as “Dragon Holes” where energy converges in a profound way–perhaps multidimensionally–to assist in the speeding up of our evolution on planet Earth. Aside from the psychological implications of what this means for human beings, Eclipses–esp Solar Eclipses–tend to have a profound impact on the Earth and her creatures too, creating strange weather–even Earthquakes! Think about it like this: Sun is light and life; Moon is dark and night. In the middle of the day, the Moon Eclipses the Sun, creating darkness on the planet. It interferes with the flow of life. Birds go to bed. Creatures become confused. Human’s stare into it and go blind. Its magical. Its mysterious. It’s dark. And this particular one has my Gemini mind in an explosive storm of inspiration.
The Sabian Symbol for this Eclipse:
“A glass bottomed boat in still water”
…our traveler has a memory of the visions he was gifted. His eyes glow brighter. ….that boat the thinks….
The eclipse falls at 00 degrees of Gemini. This is important to note for 2 main reasons:
1. 00 degree Gemini: The 0 and 29 degrees are more crisis-oriented points, especially in predictive work.
2. Alcyone:
Called “The Central One”, Alcyone is the central or main star and also the largest star of the Pleiades or Seven Sisters, the seven stars that are situated on the shoulder blade of the Bull. Alcyone is often seen as representing the whole group that are all situated within one degree. (http://www.constellationsofwords.com/stars/Alcyone.html)
Q: What could the crisis be?
A: One in Consciousness
Its like:
A university professor went to visit a famous Zen master. While the master quietly served tea, the professor talked about Zen. The master poured the visitor’s cup to the brim, and then kept pouring. The professor watched the overflowing cup until he could no longer restrain himself. “It’s overfull! No more will go in!” the professor blurted. “You are like this cup,” the master replied, “How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup.”
I feel this Eclipse is similar to this infamous Zen story. Our ideas about what reality are about to be blasted wide open. It may be subtle, but it will no doubt be profound and in perfect timing for the wild Summer ahead. We live in a world texting while driving, watching the tv not thinking, and drugged while sleeping. Are we really prepared for the “Ascension.” Are we really ready for “the World to End?” For science to save us and heal the Earth. I’m not going to pretend to know, but I will just playfully say: Hell NO! Lol…..All three of these memes (ascension, Armageddon, and scientific saviors) may come close, but my intuition tells me none are true. I think its stranger than we can suppose. This is what this Gemini Eclipse is all about: Mind blowing realizations. Perceptual downloads of another kind. Divine moments of Truth through a breath. The awakening of Gnosis through Symbiosis!
…perhaps?
I have been calling 2o12 the “Year of the Gemini” for a few reasons. This Eclipse is one of them. The Lunar Eclipse in Sag/Gemini on the 4th of June is another. Venus transiting the Sun is yet another. And lastly, Jupiter’s ingress into Gemini is going to be the laced cherry on the celestial cake. If you are a Gemini or have any planet in Gemini, pay heed, this is important. Its also quite active for anyone with Mutable signs (Sag, Virgo, Pisces). For the rest of you, well….I’m sorry, you are left out…… I kid…..where it is happening in your chart is important too! Is the Gemini party happening in your 2nd house? If so, your ideas around money are going to be reprogrammed. In the 7th? Your relationship model shall transform through the Universe activating your curiosity about that magical person you met via synchronicity just other day, perhaps testing your current relationship. We live in mercurial times. Changing fast and constantly. Embrace it. You can’t control it. Grows wings like Alcyone and catch the updrafts!
Neptune’s T
There is an Aspect happening to this Eclipse that brings us deeper into this idea of mind expanding glee. It is mystical Neptune squaring the Eclipse, creating a T-square aspect. A T-square is a relationship between 3 or more planets. 2 opposing each other (in this case the Nodes of the Moon (Gemini to Sag; Facts vs. Experience) and then 1 planet squaring the opposition. The planet that squares the opposition (Neptune) creates both a conflict and hopefully a resolution to the polarity. In sense, it brings us into a non-dual state. Weightless. Without fight. What is Neptune in Pisces asking us to do to solve this existential crisis? It’s simple: Dream a dream that fills you to the brim with ecstasy. Without a dream, without a myth to live by, we become rudderless. When we are rudderless without hope or vision, we turn to the bottle. Escapism is the key word here with Neptune. What do you do to escape the Truth? Where do you go when you wanna find the Truth? Ask yourselves these questions from now until the Eclipse and do what you are afraid of. You will be rewarded. You cannot escape these Dragon’s!!! Rahu and Ketu are watching you. Align with the Neptune’s lesson and you align with God, riding the severed Dragon into the night.
….our traveler passes the liquor store and feels the pull. A pull greater than any woman. He continues walking, remembering his vision. He has seen his Truth!!! Why ruin it!? He hears music in the distance, turns, and walks towards it…..
I find it intriguing that Jupiter and Mercury will also be widely conjunct this Eclipse. Jupiter and Mercury relate to “vision, thoughts, ideas, beliefs, gods, religions, philosophies, trips, and travels” and they also rule the Nodes of the Moon currently (Gemini and Sagittarius). This means they are facilitating the entire process. Mercury the main maestro, being he rules Gemini. Their positioned in the sign of Taurus, less than 10 degrees away from the Eclipse. They are watching close. It’s as if they are on a chariot riding behind the MoOn, making sure everything works out perfectly, sprinkling ambrosia and amrita on the world below. sOMa. We are in a dream within a dream within a dream. How do we wake up? Pick up up their gifts, falling from the sky of mind.
Before I burn out your synapses, I will force myself to a teasing halt. I’m excited. There is much more to talk about. For instance: What is the Myth of Alcyone all about? How does it relate? There is a powerful Mutual reception in this Eclipse chart. What is it? What does it mean? And much more….But I will save it for the future. And what exactly is that? I have yet to find the words to explain it.
….an Ocean perhaps….oOo
Hope you enjoyed this….oOo

Progress and Progressions
“Honest disagreement is often a good sign of progress.”
Gandhi
….As I write, the MoOn passes the Galactic center in late Sag, pulling our etheric energies into more suggestive states of cosmic awareness. With Mercury now being direct and soon to be Mars, the deep pre-dawn of Spring meditation is nearly over. Hopefully you have went through a pleasant readjustment of your body and mind, thus preparing you for the massive waves forming in Neptune’s sea ahead. “The Gods” are readying us for what may be the most interesting Summer of our lives….
Progress is a subjective term. What is progress for one, may be idle tides for another. Whether we are talking about progress on a personal level or a collective level, it is always going to be subjective. I like what Gandhi says about “honest disagreement” being a marker for progress. ”Shall we agree to disagree…?” We all have our opinions, yet true progress into wisdom is the realization of exactly that: We all have our subjective opinions which are created from our experiences in life.
In Astrology, there are many ways we can deal with this idea of progress. Through Transits we can watch how the planets are moving around a person’s chart–cycle within cycle, phase within phase– triggering various aspects of one’s Archetypal landscape. There are also various types of Progressions, Arcs, and Planetary periods you can look at. They all seem to work, they all function differently. It is Secondary Progressions that have always caught my curious eye. Giving one year to each day after a person’s birth, you watch the slow ‘progression’ of the planets unfold throughout a person’s life. Let’s learn more….
Secondary Progressions:
Secondary Progressions are the most commonly used of all the forms of Progressing the chart. This ancient method has been used since biblical times. Again, you give one year to each day after a person’s birth. For example, the Progressed chart will look identical to the Transits in the sky 30 days after a person’s birth. Because the chart progresses so slowly, only the Inner planets (Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury, Sun, Moon) move much–the Moon moving the most. In one day the Sun moves 1 degree and the Moon travels an average of 13, meaning in one year, the Sun will travel one degree in the Progressed chart, the Moon 12-13 degrees. Grok? I’m my study of Astrology, the Progressed Moon is the main progression that reliably blows my mind.
The Progressed Moon is like our slowly shifting mood. It stays in a sign for around 2.5 years and moves to the next. While the Progressed Moon moves through each sign, our overall mood and approach to life is greatly influenced by this Sign/Archetype. A person who is experiencing the Progressed Moon moving through Scorpio is going to be processing life in an entirely different way than if it were in its polarity of Taurus. The Scorpio period will bring deep and penetrating moods into a person’s sphere, allowing them to unearth poisonous emotions, thoughts, and energies from their bodies; In Taurus, the expectation would be more along the lines of feeling abundance, groundedness, and much beauty surrounding them. Knowing where you Progressed Moon is in your chart is vital to understanding “where” you are at in your life.
There is another way of relating to the Progressed Moon and it relates to the Sun. It’s called the Progressed Lunation cycle. Remembering that one day equals a year and each month the Moon makes an entire Lunation, we can then understand that every 28-30 years the Sun and Moon will return to their natal positions. Depending under what Lunar phase a person was born, they will experience the Progressed New Moon at some point in their first 30 years of life. For example, if a person was born under a Full Moon, it will take around 15 years for the Progressed Sun and Moon to come together, thus creating a Progressed New Moon. This cycle is one of the most important periods in a person’s life because it relates to a birth of a fresh psychology. Hard to see while its happening but astonishing in retrospect, this Progression is mind blowing in its accuracy. As is the Progressed Full Moon that will happen 15 years after the New Moon, bringing forth a fruition of the energies that were present at Progressed New Moon.
…..you can cast a Progressed chart at Astro.com or contact me for one if you are interested……
There are many other implications of these cycles mentioned. Over the next month, I plan on diving deeper into the Progressed realms and exploring more with you. Like with all Astrological notions and markers of change, this Progress is relative. It always depends on the person, the Soul, and the choices that are made. True progress is measured outside of the chart and in the eyes of the adventurer!
***News: Exploring these Progressions is a way for me to share written information on this subject before the Teleseminar I will be teaching on April 29th on this subject with Nightlite Astrology.
