the Heat of Mars

the Heat of Mars

…in the wake of the Solar Eclipse: Mars attacks

I have noticed lots of Mars issues popping lately: like mad dwarfs, with blood stained faces, grinning razor sharp teeth. Mars was conjunct the Eclipse on Tuesday–just a few degrees away from the Sun/Moon at 13 Capricorn. In a sense, he was leading the pack with a knife in his teeth. Mars brings the fire, the urges, all the desires up in flames,. Its hard to think clearly under his influence. Everything seems justified. We know we are possessed, but we can’t do anything about it. Traditionally, Mars also rules Scorpio (not just Aries), and I’ve been noticing ‘demons.” They are coming out (demons = Scorpio = Mars). I can see it in their eyes–in my partners, in my friends, even in perfect strangers. Now, I know I know, it’s probably just me projecting my own “stuff” out into the world–and I admit to this truth…to an extent–but I feel it’s more than that; it’s also Mars. People have been complaining about injuries, high blood pressure, headaches, and an iron taste in their mouth’s. What’s going on? It’s Mars, raising the stakes. He says, “You wanna evolve…? Well, deal with these Desires. Bet you thought you were beyond them…didn’t ya.” And we squeeze our fists, and then grit our teeth.

Remember: Eclipses are profoundly charged New and Full moOns. This past “New moon” (eclipse) was a Martian one. All in Capricorn, it relates strongly to the foundation we are creating for ourselves. A loose–and general–translation could be: it is the experience of not being where we think we should be, thus creating immense frustration and despair relating to the gap we see between where we stand and where we wanna be. This friction creates the heat, and its what makes our blood boil.

Be careful you guys. Mars also rules over accidents. Breathe. Just breathe. And breathe some more.

This too shall pass.

…give it a week.

#62 Venus part 2 “Evening Star” & the Solar Eclipse

…Join me in preparation for the 1st Eclipse of 2011.  It will be a partial Solar Eclipse in Capricorn…  In the first part of the show, we will focus on the implication of this Solar Eclipse.  We will then move back into the cycle of Venus–who we left behind nearly a month ago–and finally learn about the second half of the 584 day Venus cycle.  Venus in her Evening star phase is much different than her Morning Star phase and is of great importance for understanding her in the natal chart.  Give a listen, and find out why. Hope you enjoy.

Mercury goes Direct

Mercury goes Direct
A view of the night sky near Sagittarius, enha...

….at 19 Sagittarius, Mercury decides to go Direct for the 4th time of 2o10: just in time for the New Years celebration.

This should mean all festivities will commence with ecstatic ease.  If drinking is your means of celebration, be careful, because Mercury still hasn’t broken the Retrograde cycle, and passed its place where he Stationed Retrograde at 5 degrees Capricorn. Also, with the influence of the Galactic Center (27 Sag), there can be the possibility of too much fun.  Be careful; don’t get to High on the tides.  Be steady, be aware, and stay inspired. It is a wonderful time for celebration.

If New Years celebrations aren’t your gig, Mercury Direct today can offer many other goodies.  It’s an auspicious time for practice–Spiritual practice; it is also an auspicious time to start new projects.  If there has been an Idea or a Desire festering inside your mind, and you have yet to tackle it, or release it, maybe tonight is your night.  Light the candles, make the tea, and get comfortable with your pen or computer or instrument.  It’s a wonderful time for Creativity.  The Galactic Center is hub of a cosmic energy in our nook of the Universe, so take advantage of it: shake it, pop it, and watch the bubbly fly–both literally and metaphorically speaking.

As far as New year’s resolutions…..Don’t make one unless you are sober.  You will just let yourself down. The transits are tricky now-a-days.  Be impeccable.   Plant your seed in Clear soil.  Only then will it grow like the proud 1′s of the 2011. May your night be filled with Joy, the Muse, and Music.

Pluto loOking up: in the 9th, Sag, Jupiter

Pluto loOking up: in the 9th, Sag, Jupiter

“Lukewarm acceptance is more bewildering than outright rejection.”

MLK Jr.

Sagittarius is the Archetype which generates our philosophical place in the world.  It’s not just: “oh, I believe in the Big Bang….”–it runs deeper.  Our philosophical stance is the ground of our sanity; it gives us life purpose.  Our family lineage (tradition), our religion, and our beliefs that some sentience is in control of this “Thing” all assist us in getting out of bed in the morning. Its Faith.  Jupiter gives us  this context to live by.  When it is tested by the hurricane winds of Pluto, its hard to hold our steady stance.  We are tested…in every way. Lets allow Jeff Green to Illuminate:

Pluto in the Ninth House or Sagittarius: emotional trauma can occur to these individuals for the following causes:
1.By experiencing a core alienation relative to their country and culture and origin.
2. By experiencing intense belief system confrontations with others, or a society in which their beliefs are fundamentally at odds, or contradictory to the beliefs of most others.
3) When cataclysmic life events occur that forces them to examine the nature of their beliefs and underlying principles that generate those beliefs
4. When they experience intense violations of truth, honesty, and the principle of justice relative to the truth of any given situation.
When Pluto transits the Ninth House, forms stressful aspects through transit to Jupiter, the planetary ruler of the Ninth House, or planets within the natal Ninth House these issues and subsequent traumas can occur.

…because Sag is a mutable Archetype, one of the best ways to heal from these nightmares, is to mutate to your surroundings.  If you are a Buddhist living underneath the tightly pulled “Bible belt,” learn how to speak their language; If you are Black, living in a white city, do you best to destroy prejudice; if your white, in a black city, be brave and face your cultures demons; if you are….(you get the picture). Luckily, we have the internet now-a-days.  It seems to allow this Pluto/Sag process to happen much more smoothly: if we feel we are out of context (or place) where we are living, we can always find our community online.

The goal: To realize that your “Filter” is only a filter, and nothing more.  You don’t have all the answers, nor did your Father’s.  You are then humbled in the face of “god.” It generates wisdom, and creates the Wiseman.

People with Pluto in the 9th:

(Steven Forrest, Steven Irwin, Nick Cage, Walk Disney, Brad Pitt, K N Rao, George Harrison, Jimmy page, Robin Williams, Niel Young.)

…to find out more about your chart, I’m always open for a open hearted Reading.
