The week begins in earthy tones. With the Sun fresh in heavy, slow paced Taurus and the Moon in the late degrees of Virgo, the energies working through us may feel like they are functioning on a lower bpm. There aren’t any major aspects to note today, but the Virgo moOn does square Lilith in Gemini midday, potentially derailing our steady focus on self and its improvement into a more seductive sphere of separating desire. Be watching for this. It may come in the form of a friend of potential lover distracting you from the true focus of this day–which is refinement and organization of your vital energies.

This week begins with Mercury’s Inferior conjunction with the Sun. This cazimi relates to the beginning of a brand spanking new Mercury journey. Whenever Mercury passes the Sun in retrograde fashion it is considered Inferior–but this doesn’t mean it’s any less important than the Superior conjunction when Mercury passes the Sun when moving Direct. It means Mercury is not visible in the sky and is passing through the fiery furnace of the Suns rays, being stripped of all it was, readying itself for something new. This means new ideas, fresh perceptions, and evolving the way in which we communicate with the world. With the MOon in jubilant Sagittarius and its ruler- Jupiter- making a square to Venus, it is wise to curb your enthusiasm around quick expansion and instead, practice restraint. Be still. Watch even more closely. Learn something new.

Life is not easy. Nobody ever said it was. Especially lately, things have been seemingly ramping up on the emotional meter. 2013 has been a doozy for many of us. We are in a window of time where the waters are rising, accentuating our emotional bodies, turning them into hurricane-like winds. And from these raging seas emerges Venus, making a pass at Chiron today, removing a scab from our healing hearts. It is likely we get to revisit an old romance today with the wise Centaur. Don’t look away. Listen to the words of Chiron and your perfect intuition. You are love, you are loved, and that is true. Don’t get hooked or hanged by the pain and suffering of the past. Let the past be the past and move forward with Love in your hearts. Take the experiences you have bravely forged in the past with Love and Love lost, and share yourself bravely with others. Perhaps you read an inspiring quote or hear a powerful song that helps tremendously in the release of this old scar. The moOn is also now in Capricorn, meaning it is cautiously heading for Pluto. As a refresher: Pluto is currently in Capricorn and is slowly and perfectly destroying all of the toxic and limiting aspects of our being. Like the destructive side of Shiva, Pluto is removing all obstacles keeping us away from our true Power. It isn’t an easy road. It is no wonder why we fear Pluto. He brings trauma. And it is trauma that allows us to evolve. Drink the medicine of Transformation today. Don’t be afraid of what you see. A profound angle will emerge, assisting you in the healing your unbreakable heart.

As the moOn moves through the last degrees of Capricorn today, its ruler–Saturn–makes his second sextile to Pluto. This powerful syzygy between the two most feared Archetypes brings forth some penetrating realism today. Wherever these two malefics are transiting in your chart show you were necessity (Saturn) and fear (Pluto) are at the forefront and cannot be ignored. Saturn, like our inner Everest we are meant to climb is seen through parting clouds today. As the moOn moves into objective Aquarius later in the day, we can choose our view of this crux–or problem within. However you may be feeling disconnected from Source, this palaver between the Messenger of the Gods and the Immortal Wise One is going to reveal a yellow brick road for you to follow. So you better make up your mind and get to the table on time. The choice is yours. This electric Aquarius moON also harmonizes (via Trine) to Jupiter, offering up even more Divine inspiration to our cause. The week may have started intensely, but things are looking up. So….look up!

Doubt is virus that must cleaned from our main frame. How nice it would be to be clear and consistent 100% of the time. Unfortunately, it is part of the human adventure to not know all the answers. Are we going the right way? Am I with the right person? Is this the place for me? As Mercury Rx squares Jupiter today, doubt may spring forth like an unwelcomed pimple in the middle of your forehead. Monday: Moon in Pisces

Do you like what you see when you look in the mirror? How about in the mirror of your Mind? These are important questions to ask as the Moon drifts through Pisces, passing over Mercury, Mars, and Chiron. With Mercury we will be shown aspects of our thinking that has been caught in the riptide and left us naive in our thoughts; with Mars, we may feel how our energies have been squandered as of late, needing to be recalibrated and pointed in a more effective direction; and with Chiron, hopefully we will receive an important teaching as to how we can heal and reawaken ourselves to the wholeness of our being. Beneath all of these subtle lunar triggers, Venus squares Saturn today. The magnifying glass is pointed straight into our core values and we are asked by the Lord of Karma (Saturn), “Are you focusing on what you have or on what you don’t?” If this question relates to Love, ask yourself, “Am I receiving adequate amounts of love and affection from my partner?” If not, why not. Solve the riddle of this square today. Redirect your love if need be.

Monday: Day of Taurus moON; into Gemini just before Midnight

We made it! The world did not end…or did it? I’ve been sitting with this idea in deep reflection since the Solstice and my conclusion is that: Indeed, a world did end. Leading into the Solstice, I was seeing karmic knots unraveling gracefully within me, observing gnarly patterns come to the surface in the full circle movements of Saturn’s Wheel of Time, excited to find the release on the day of the Solstice. It’s never easy to let go, but we must if we wanna evolve. And as the mOon grows in the sky, it crosses the Nodes of the Moon today, bringing about a dejavu like experience as La Luna swings with the tail of the Dragon (South node, Ketu). There is also an energy present giving us the power to move forward and inward with confident strides (Moon trine Mars–ruler of the North node in Scorpio). Being that Mars is in the last degrees of his exalted sign of Capricorn, perhaps we entertain the Hermit side of Capricorn, and find copious amounts of Solitude on this Xmas eve night.
Tuesday: Moon in Gemini

There is something cold about this Christmas–not in a temperature sense. Cold as in icy objective emotion. Aquarius and its modern ruler Uranus are the planetary Archetypes that relate to this capacity for existing beyond emotion. With Mars moving into Aquarius today and the Sun squaring Uranus, the flow is one of questioning our Individuality. Who are we in relationship to our family? Asking important questions about Family of Origin vs. Family of Choice. It’s never easy to choose to Individuate from our families. Maybe we don’t feel the call to do so. But if you do, don’t be afraid. There is a whole realm of possibilities that exist on the other side. Be unpredictable, be strange, and for Uranus’ sake: Don’t be afraid to see it from another perspective! Merry Xmas….
Wednesday: Moon in Gemini

When you look in the mirror what do you see? Do you like what you see? When you see yourself through the mirror of another, what do you see? Do you like this reflection? How about through dreams? How does your Self show itself to you in there? There are many ways to be mirrored in the world. All the ways in which this can occur are important. It stimulates self reflection and deep examination. Today, the two great malefic teachers Saturn and Pluto form what is called a sextile to each other (also a mutual reception; they are in each others signs) creating a sound circle of reflective spinning that will occur. Through this depth of awareness, may we see what we need to see, so that the lil’ beast within can finally be better understood and transmuted into its next phase of being. Slow dance with these Planets. Show them your best moves.
Thursday: Moon into Cancer

In our newly forming skin, there can be an awkwardness to the sensation of our new layers. A sense of being a stranger to ourselves. Who are we? What have we become? What are we becoming? This feeling of no security relates to the Lunar square to Uranus and also a challenging semisquare between Mercury and Saturn. Both of these transits have a way of turning the mind in on itself. Self criticism, abysmal sensations, ungroundedness, and even self contempt are swirling within the gamut of possibilities here. Within the potential chaos of these emotions, may we align to the opportunity to completely forgive ourselves for all of our wrongs and realize we are no longer that person. We have grown new skin. Every breath we do this. As the Moon trines Neptune, know that you too can be forgiven!!! And once you have released and realized this, open the box in your heart. Share the contents you find.
Friday: Full Moon in Cancer

The Full Moon today is no joke. It is holographically activated by so many energies I don’t even know where to begin. The fact that it is illuminated by a Sun that is traveling past both Pluto and Juno is a good starting point. If you have been reading my blogs or listening to my Podcast, you already understand the importance of Pluto in the sky now (it is squaring Uranus, creating the doomsday revolution scenarious in our lives). And there is also Juno–who I talked about much last week–relating to Soul contracts and the experiences we all have of jealously. Within this illumination, I feel we are going to be shown our new grid, our new bandwith of energy we are now living with. And through it, may we discover a depth of Love like never before. Don’t be afraid to love yourself. Don’t be afraid to love another–to open your heart fearlessly. Don’t be afraid to love the Gods and become them…::

The lingering beauty of Full mooN light and insight sticks with us throughout the day, without many aspects being triggered in the sky. So as the moOn moves through the last degrees of Cancer, integrating our Solstice/Holiday experiences deeper into the tissues of our Lunar heart, perhaps we begin dreaming about how to share them in a creative way. By nights end, the Moon will ingress into Leo giving us just the opportunity. Don’t be shy. Roar! Share your song. Blow their minds in a gentle way.
Sunday: Moon in Leo
30th
As it is, so it goes. Life is both unpredictable and not. We can always trust that things will never stay the same. The sooner we sink into this ephermeral truth, the better we will be. To become excited about lifes rhythms and waves is an amazing practice. The Sun squares Pluto today and Pluto whispers words into the Sun Spirit, “Learn to grow by letting go.” This theme emerges over and over throughout my posts–I know–but it is because it is happening–always–and is paramount with Pluto in the sky. Pluto is our shit, our shadow, and the monsters we carry. Let go of the old stories. Don’t protect them anymore. Bring them to the precipice and toss them into viod. Let space recreate them into better allies for your time here. You can never release yourself completely from a pattern, but you can change the content of what fills it. You got this Jedi.
