Love is not unrealistic.  Only those who relate to it selfishly may feel this way.  Today, the two Planets who relate most to Love –Venus & Neptune–square off, creating a potential tragedy in the hearts of all you helpless romantics out there.  Neptune says, “There is nothing wrong with being a romantic, just as long as your not helpless in it.” This is Personal Love, or Eros.  It’s only a fraction of the infinite fabric of Love.  Venus says, “But how can I love without any expectations?” A whisper from the depth of our Collective Heart answers, “Without trying, you find it.  A love that never dies.”

Exploring Astrology: Austin Coppock & the New moON Aquarius

the _beast_

(CLICK IMAGE TO GO TO THE SHOW)

In this show I explore the stars with Austin Coppock.  He is a wonderfully articulate Astrologer with an encyclopedic well of information which comes through in the most amazingly tangential of ways.  We look at the Aquarian New Moon on Sunday, the upcoming Mercury retrograde cycle, and the watery themes of 2013.  Hope you enjoy the show.

Love,

sOma

Weekly Astrology Report: Ascending

Week of Jan 21st-27th

“We shout when our hearts are too far apart, whisper when they are close, and say nothing when they are together”

Monday: Moon in Gemini

21st

296883_10151397535979078_1900219939_n This week starts with a swiftly burning fuse, spiraling up and around our cervical vertebrae, heading for the space where thoughts are formed. With the Moon now in Gemini, the first thing she does is square Neptune.  It is the feeling of reading too much, seeking out answers in words, and dropping in empty handed on the other side, shrugging your shoulders.  Instead of shooting through the vata tunnel of your curious mind, find a turtle to ride, and take in the scenery around you.  The answers are everywhere.  The Gemini moOn will also trine (harmonize) with its ruler Mercury and the Sun in Aquarius, launching perfect curve balls of linguistic skills in to the minds of those around you.  Today is a day for tea….with friends.  Lots of tea.

Weekly Astrology Report: into 2013

Week of Dec 31st–Jan 6th

Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year. ”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Monday: Moon in Leo

31st

Today is the last day of 2012.  For those who had plans of ascending on the Solstice, I’m sorry.  We are still here, still working through our stuff, remaining haunted by all of our patterns and karmas we have yet to understand. This takes time.  Mercury, the planet of our Intellect, moves into its maturation of Capricorn today, leaving the questing for answers behind in the Sagittarian highlands.  Capricorn has a way of crystallizing energies into a more workable form.  What have you been thinking about lately? What kinds of riddles have you been attempting to solve in your mind?  As the Trickster ingresses into this new Archytypal landscape, it also makes a stimulating sextile to Neptune, perhaps conjuring up cosmic thought dreams assisting you in the formation of fresh neural synapses for the year to come. This is available for all of us….as long as your blood & brain isn’t flooded with booze.
