Weekly Astrology Report: Casting Shadows

Week of 4th-10th

“Some things cannot be spoken or discovered until we have been stuck, incapacitated, or blown off course for awhile. Plain sailing is pleasant, buy you are not going to explore many unknown realms that way.”
 David Whyte quote

This week starts like any good adventure should: With a vision of what is possible! Our desire (Mars) to accomplish something made of dreams (Neptune) is amorphically fused together with a neon question mark. Be careful.  Our desires can bring danger.  Boundaries are good.  Caution too!  Don’t just go wandering through the ghetto.  Don’t give your heart to a rambler.  Don’t where your high heels in the rain.  The moOn in Sag is also in two pensive aspects with Jupiter and Neptune, creating a smoke and mirror like effect to how we are moving through the world.  Today is the day of the Fool.  Just be careful stepping into this Archetype if you choose to be intoxicated.

Weekly Astrology Report: Ascending

Week of Jan 21st-27th

“We shout when our hearts are too far apart, whisper when they are close, and say nothing when they are together”

Monday: Moon in Gemini

21st

296883_10151397535979078_1900219939_n This week starts with a swiftly burning fuse, spiraling up and around our cervical vertebrae, heading for the space where thoughts are formed. With the Moon now in Gemini, the first thing she does is square Neptune.  It is the feeling of reading too much, seeking out answers in words, and dropping in empty handed on the other side, shrugging your shoulders.  Instead of shooting through the vata tunnel of your curious mind, find a turtle to ride, and take in the scenery around you.  The answers are everywhere.  The Gemini moOn will also trine (harmonize) with its ruler Mercury and the Sun in Aquarius, launching perfect curve balls of linguistic skills in to the minds of those around you.  Today is a day for tea….with friends.  Lots of tea.

Weekly Astrology Report: Dec 3rd–9th

“All boundaries are conventions awaiting transcendence….”

Cloud Atlas

Monday: Moon in Leo

3rd

This week starts off feeling like a caged Lion.  Unable to experience the freedom we need to play, to roam, and to roar in the face of our opponents, we may find ourselves pacing back and forth, ruminating in our cyclic emotions. This is the Leo moON squaring off with both Saturn and Venus.  It is ancient emotional conditioning holding us back from expressing our true hearts desire.  We must remember this.  What is it that is trying to leap and roll around inside. As the day progresses, we are assisted by Jupiter (via sextile), opening up channels of light showing us a better way out of Saturns dredges.  The fiery MOon also harmonizes with the Sagittarius Sun, opening up a highway of energy in the center of our being, showing a Path out of this madness.

Weekly Report: Sep 17th-23rd

On Nigredo:::
“The blackening is about depression, the melancholia, that is often the initial stage causing one to slow down and examine life, that brings one into therapy, … The encounter with the shadow is invariably experienced as a mortificatio: dark shadow aspects of the Self have to be confronted and assimilated into consciousness; the feelings of guilt, worthlessness and powerlessness have to be suffered, taken on and worked through. As a prelude to resolving conflicts and warring elements in the psyche, a cleansing process was required involving an examination and withdrawal of projections. The nigredo stage was known by the alchemists to be dangerous: poisonous vapours of lead and quick silver (mercury) were generated or the vessel itself might explode due to over-heating. Safety apart – the alchemist, paradoxically, had to observe the value of patience in order to move the work on”

After Plutos 6 month retrograde, the Dark Lord goes Direct and the dragon wakes.  As in the nigredo phase of the alchemical process, Pluto requires incredible patience. Change never comes over night.  First is our intention to change, then the long road to healing unfurls in front of us with many detours to follow.  When Pluto goes direct, we can see the demons in our shadowy depths more clearly, allowing us to name them so we can better work with them.  A supporting transit of the day is the Moon trining Jupiter, assisting us with a copious amount of right brain, intuitive wisdom.  Today, Gandalf walks by our sides as we enter the depths of Mordor.  Don’t be scared…again: the White Wizard is by your side.  Seek his council.
