…we all have an Inner mountain we are meant to climb.  There are no short cuts to the top.  We must endure the ascent, with all of its trials and tribulations.  The closer we get, the harder the Sun.  There will be wind, rain, cold & hot, and worst of all–our own minds we must endure.  Keep on.  Wherever you go, there you are–somewhere on that damn mountain…..(Saturn)…….

Prose for the MoOn:

 

 

The Capricorn Full Moon, which happens around this time every year, is referred to as the “Buck Moon.” It is because deer get their antler’s around this time (in the Northern Hemisphere).  Relating to the maturation process, it is quite perfect in it’s correlation to the Archetype of Capricorn.  I say this because Capricorn relates to our ability to manifest a vision through diligent practice and patience.  It’s about sticking to a goal and accomplishing it. Having survived another year, the Deer is rewarded with another rack–a symbol of maturation and power.  Native American’s also relate this Moon to claps of Thunder and Lightning.  Quite appropriate in that it has been lightning causing all of these raging fires here in Colorado.

 

 

…A Musing: Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, relates to ripeness of karma.  The forest’s here in Colorado need fires to thrive and grow.  Being that human’s have spread like “wildfire” through the mountains of the West over the past 100 years, naturally, keeping the fires back as much as possible, it’s as if this is Nature’s way of saying, “it is my time to shine.” But still, it is a tragedy to have so many people without homes, suffering.  (moment of silence).  We must remember: Fire purifies.  It allows us to start over.  There are no mistakes in nature….

 

The Sun–of course–is in Cancer when it illuminates the Capricorn Full Moon.  The Sun is the light of Consciousness which animates all life on Earth.  As it moves through the Zodiac, each sign is focused on, like a beam through a magnifying glass, bringing up issues relating to that Archetype.  Cancer relates to early childhood conditioning, our emotional reality, and habituations.  As this sensitive Sun shines upon the serious Capricorn Moon, it is likely that dormant issues, revolving around early child traumas may surface with this Moon.

In using the word “Trauma,” I was portending to the fact that this Full Moon is also conjunct Pluto! Thunder rolls, lightning strikes, and the demon’s begin to crawl out of the shadow realms of our being when the Moon is dancing with Pluto.  The dead can dance too! Pluto’s domain is power, but before we can experience this raw primordial power, we must first feel powerless.  And the only reason we ever feel a lack of power is because we unconsciously give it away– either to other people, or entities (the demons) who reside within our shadow.  Because this Full Moon is with Pluto, it also means it is in a square aspect to Uranus (search my site for Pluto/Uranus square).  The bottom line is this: Face your fears and experience the greatest breakthrough of your life; if you don’t, it will be the greatest breakdown. The promises of Pluto and Uranus.

 

 

Everything in Astrology is cyclic and inter-connected, no different from life.  It is a language of life, which studies it’s cycles.  Rulerships in the language of Astrology play a powerful role in understanding what the planets are doing.  For example, Saturn rules Capricorn, meaning it is important to understand what Saturn is doing in the sky during this Lunation.  Saturn is currently in Libra and has been for over two years.  Since early Feb, Saturn has been retrograde in this sign of relationships, meaning there has been a potent re-evaluation happening in how we are choosing to show up for people.  Just a few days ago, Saturn went Direct.  Translation? It’s on.  In the wake of the recent Venus retrograde cycle also, this is going to be an amazing time for crystallizing our visions of how we want to be showing up in the world and who we want to share it with.
